ABC Radio Drops Time Pips
On the 14th February 2025 the
Australian Broadcasting Corporation
stopped broadcasting the time pips at
the top of the hour for their analogue
774 AM Radio station.
Raf Epstein introduced the five pips
preceding the time signal for the last time.
The Canadian Broadcasting System and
the BBC gave up the pips years ago, as
have all mainland ABC stations …
only Tasmania persists.
